PetroChina Find Big Gas Field in Papua, PetroChina International Companies in Indonesia

theenergy.asia (INDONESIA) - PetroChina International claims to discover new gas fields with reserves large enough in Sorong, Papua. New gas reserves are found PetroChina is expected to reach 5.867 million cubic feet per day.
Based on the company's official statement, last week, in addition to producing gas, the gas fields was also produce a condensate of 137 BCPD (barrels of condensate per day). The discovery was based on drilling activity conducted on the company in June 2011 and completed in September 2011.
The discovery of new reserves will increase the number of PetroChina's gas production resulting from the Bird's Head block PSC, which currently is the equivalent of about seven thousand barrels of oil per day (BOEPD).The discovery also will increase the number of national oil and gas production, particularly increase the supply of regional gas demand is increasing. The findings of this Klalin North Field is at the location adjacent to other production fields, so it can be expected that speeds production and development of this field. This field is expected to start production early next year.
