Great Eastern Energy Posts Narrower 6-month Loss , Great Eastern Energy Corporation Ltd.

(RTTNews) - Great Eastern Energy Corp Ltd. (GEEC.L) Monday reported a narrower loss for the six months ended 30 September 2010.
Loss for the period and loss before income tax totaled US$1.25 million, compared to US$3.79 million in the year-ago period.
Loss per share narrowed to US$0.02 from US$0.07 last year.
The company's revenue for the period increased to US$5.51 million from US$526.23 thousand in the prior year period.
The company stated that the increase in revenues and greatly reduced loss during the first half of the year was as a result of the significant uplift in gas production and corresponding sales.
