Energy Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament meets the Russian State Duma's Energy Committee, State Duma and Russian Natural Gas Society

Delegation of the Energy Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament was headed by Jens Kirk, Chairman of the Committee for Energy Policy of the Parliament of Denmark. The Russian Parliament was represented by Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the Energy Committee, and deputies of tthe Energy Committee of State Duma. Tom R. Jensen, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Denmark in Moscow, was also present at the meeting.

Participants of the meeting discussed the operation of the energy systems of Russia and Denmark and the prospects of cooperation in electricity, renewable energy, energy saving and biofuel.

Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the Energy Committee of the Russian State Duma, explained the brief history of the Duma's Energy Committee and its legislative activity over the last 8 years, as well as the importance and the prospects of the law "On energy saving" in Russia.

The Energy Policy Committee of Denmark will also be participating in the inauguration of the first “active house” in Russia which was built using special energy efficient materials from the Danish companies.
