Iberdrola creates a new company to promote energy services and efficiency, Iberdrola

IBERDROLA has incorporated a new company called IBERDROLA Servicios Energéticos in order to promote energy saving and efficiency initiatives and related services for households, businesses and government bodies, in line with EU and Spanish energy policy

Under this initiative, the company will offer new products connected with energy savings and efficiency, end-to-end energy management and maintenance, environmental protection and the use of renewable energy sources.

Specifically, IBERDROLA will provide services devised to enhance end-to-end energy management in public and private buildings, facilities and infrastructure assets. These services include initiatives designed to optimise the use of lighting, air conditioning and thermal insulation.

The incorporation of IBERDROLA Servicios Energéticos stems from the company’s commercial policy, which is aimed at providing its customers with value-added products and services that dovetail with market trends by offering solutions that are not only competitive in terms of price, but also attractive in terms of energy efficiency and service quality.

IBERDROLA’s weekly sales volume is running at over 50,000 contracts, thanks to a broad range of sales initiatives intended to offer consumers highly competitive and attractive terms and conditions.

The company currently boasts over three million liberalised market contracts, of which one-third are for gas or electricity supply-related products and services.

In addition, the new company underscores IBERDROLA’s strategic commitment to sustainable development and clean energies, a factor that sets it apart and has proven key in the adjudication of important energy and related services contracts, such as that awarded by the regional government of Andalusia, which gave high points to the company for its energy saving and efficiency efforts.

The group’s strategy is to foment eco-efficiency with the overriding goal of promoting responsible use of energy and encouraging the use of renewable sources of power, which will contribute to reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote new solutions and in line with its commitment to sustainable development, the company recently unveiled its Green Transport Plan, the first comprehensive electric vehicle package launched in Spain, which includes customer financing for vehicle purchase, the installation of the recharging station, and the provision of a 100% renewable power supply.

Thanks to this plan, IBERDROLA is now offering its customers a broad range of electric vehicles (cars, motorbikes and bicycles). Moreover, the company will manage the installation of recharging points in car parks, guaranteeing equipment safety at all times and providing users with a tailored advisory service to meet all their needs.

The company’s latest commercial solution combines the electric vehicle with IBERDROLA’s Green Energy programme, meaning zero emissions when travelling and recharging, since power will be provided exclusively from sources which are 100% renewable.
