Russia and Belarus sign oil agreement

Russia and Belarus signed an agreement for supplies of a concessional volume of raw oil from Russia for domestic consumption in the Republic of Belarus in 2010

According to Igor Sechin, deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, Vice Prime Ministers of Russia and Belarus signed a joint statement on the guarantees of uninterrupted transit, amendments for the agreement of raw oil supplies to Belarus, guidebook of tariffs for oil transit and raw oil balance for 2010.

Medvedev was quoted as saying: "We should develop friendly relations with Belarus in the framework of the current decisions of the Customs Union. We're on our way to a few new procedures: we'll have a unified customs tariff, Customs Code, and our final objective is to create a basis for the activity of a single economic space".
