Sir, could you please give a brief presentation of Oil International Services ( OIS) to our readers?OIS is a group, which since its creation in the mid 80s until has evolved according to its client’s needs and requirements, following the national and international economic environment. That has been focused in specific niches in order to integrate solutions and fulfil the needs of our customers. Within our main services we offer Dynamic Equipment Solutions (environment) & Fire and Blast Solution (safety). At OIS we offer solutions that have been internationally proven solutions with the best of class technology to specific problems. We are a Mexican company with international exposure, our business and operations are establish in every work center where the costumer need us, including the main Oil & Gas production and administrative facilities. Our structure and capabilities give us the flexibility to offer our services directly to Pemex or any other international company using incentive contract schemes.
The past 5 years have been difficult for the Oil & Gas sector in Mexico how has this affected the company?
As you mention the Oil & Gas industry face many challenges hence the consolidation process is slow and requires understanding and incessant efforts. However we’re pleased to have been able to overcome numerous difficulties and fulfil our commitments in terms of production in the following niches: • FSOP, Commissioning ( Singapore & Mexico)• Drilling Modules overhauling • Enclosures for Gas Turbines ( RMNE & RMSO)• Construction ( design & manufacture)
After 5 years of steady decline in production Pemex announced a huge investment plan to be directed for E&P. How is OIS getting ready to grasp mew opportunities?
We have a long term vision to anticipate our costumers future needs; that is why within the group we have an area of research and development which allows us to have a clear image of the technological trends and help us understand the applications and solutions to be implemented in Pemex E&P development program.
Sir, if we come back in 5 years what we can expect to see in OIS?
OIS vision and mission is to become a model group in the niche market in which it renders its services to the national energy industry by offering integral solutions with high end technology and international standards regulations. We are committed to the technological development of our company and to the continuous search of new solutions, that have been proved to resolve problems in other countries, to actively collaborate in the faster development of the Mexican Oil Industry and the country.
