Part of the Danish group J. Lauritzen - founded in 1884 - Lauritzen Offshore Services is provider of dynamically positioned support vessels established in 2008. Headquartered in Singapore, Lauritzen Offshore Services has a strong focus on Brazil, where it started its operations working with Statoil, and has now secured significant contracts with Petrobras.

Its sister companies in the J. Lauritzen group are: Lauritzen Bulkers (dry bulk cargoes), Lauritzen Kosan (liquefied gases), and Lauritzen Tankers (oil products and chemicals).
