Sumatec Resources Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Company operates in three business segments: engineering and construction, shipping and others. The wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company are Sumatec Corporation Sdn Bhd, Semua Shipping Sdn Bhd, Semua Chemical Shipping Sdn Bhd, Semado Maritime Sdn Bhd, Mini Tanker Chartering Sdn Bhd, North Malaysia Terminal Sdn Bhd, Tenaga Biomass Sdn Bhd, Destaman Sdn Bhd, Calinex Sdn Bhd, Petroreka Sdn Bhd, Sumatec Trackworks Sdn Bhd, Sumatec Petroleum Development Sdn Bhd, Sumatec Development Sdn Bhd, Vertirex Development Sdn Bhd and Sumatec Pte Limited (Singapore). In September 2009, the Company acquired Semua International Sdn. Bhd. (SISB), pursuant to which SISB became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
