Jumbo Offshore
Jumbo Offshore’s core business is the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems for FPSO’s and offloading buoys and smaller jackets and topsides. With access to 12 + 2 DP2 Heavy Lift Vessels Jumbo offers a specific benefit: the combined transportation and installation of offshore structures. The DP2-HLV’s Jumbo Javelin and Fairplayer are used for subsea installation work, e.g. templates, manifolds, driven pile and suction pile mooring systems. They are also used for installing transition pieces for offshore wind farms. In August 2009, a Jumbo patented Deepwater Deployment System has been installed in the Fairplayer. With these deepwater winches Jumbo Offshore can lift large and heavy structures from deck and place them on the seabed without the need for subsea transfer. Typical weights and depth ranges are: 1,000 t in 1,000 m, 600 t in 1,700 m and 200 t in 3,000 m.
Both ships have a 17 knots transit speed, a flat working deck (100m x 26m) and a large, adjustable cargo hold. They are outfitted with two 900t Huisman cranes each and they can sail with open hatches. In tandem inshore operation these cranes can lift 1,800 tonnes. For offshore purposes they can handle up to 1,100 tonnes. With a reputation as a solid and safe installation contractor, we keep true to our motto: Lift. Ship. Install. All in one go.
