Jotun Malaysia

Founded by Odd Gleditsh in 1926, Jotun began as a local paint factory in Sandefjord, Norway. From Norway to Malaysia, Marine Coatings was what made Jotun in the beginning and remained its strength. The technological breakthroughs that came in later years provided a basis for its expansion worldwide. Jotun now operates in over 70 countries. It employs 200 scientists and technologists in four R & D centres and staff strength totals 5000.
In Southeast Asia, Jotun (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was established in 1983. The factory was built in 1984 for the production of advance decorative paints, marine coatings, corrosion protective coatings and powder coatings. Today, our core business in Malaysia lies in Marine Coatings, Protective Coatings and Decorative Coatings. Malaysia is also Jotun’s regional hub for South East Asia R & D centre for the development of new products for Asia, IT, Marketing and other management functions.
