DNV Norway

DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an independent foundation with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment. Founded in 1864 in Norway to inspect and evaluate the technical condition of Norwegian merchant vessels.
Today DNV's core competence is risk management.

While headquartered in Oslo, Norway, DNV works internationally and has established approximately 300 offices in 100 countries. The group employs now 9,000 employees from more then 85 different nations.

The Energy industry is one of the focus areas of DNV, (together with the maritime, Food and beverage and Health care sectors) that has been involved in several energy, oil & gas projects. For example Offshore windfarms, deepwater field development or safety in nuclear plants.
